Playmaker: One who executes plays designed to put others in a position to score
The Uprise consists of a broad network of playmakers who are passionate about helping underprivileged children and youth put themselves in a position to score to their maximum potential by serving in a variety of ways. We partner with many other organizations who share this mission by supporting them in their efforts to bring kids more hope and joy. The founders of The Uprise, Robbie and Jessica Schaack, have extensive experience working with youth in a variety of settings. They are both trauma-informed with training from organizations such as the Life is Good Kids Foundation.
Robbie
Having completed the 21st grade in school as a Dentist, owning and operating a successful business, and having served in a wide variety of humanitarian endeavors, Dr. Robbie is now passionate about empowering other youth with the tools that will help them to live a joyful, successful, and fulfilling life.
Robbie has spent over a decade of his young adult life working with youth in a variety of ways as a leader, mentor, and coach. He is also a wanna-be D.J., a wanna-be breakdancer, and wanna-be pro baller.
Jessica
Jessica Schaack’s passions have led through a variety of endeavors from college, to wedding and portrait photography, to a mother of two beautiful young girls, to homeschool teaching, to home build contracting, to life coaching. She started her photography business in 2009 after realizing that pursuing psychology was not her ultimate passion. Her husband gifted her a camera for Christmas while she was going through her first life crisis at 21 years old. She realized that this piece of equipment was not just a way to make money, but an expression of her soul. She charged $50 bucks for her first shoot, and her talents grew so quickly in demand that she was soon booking clients for 100 times that amount. Her business, RAE Portraits has taken her across the globe shooting weddings and portrait work in many countries and continents, and her work has been featured on popular wedding blogs and magazine covers.
